Aug. 5th - Plein Air at Potlatch State Park
What a gorgeous day to paint outdoors, with friends. Jan led us off with some upcoming Classes for this month with a lesson plan for each week. A couple of us showed some of our latest achievements in watercolor and some ideas.
We had 9 attendees in our Group, a Couple from Portland asked to participate. Stay tuned for future emails from Jan on upcoming topics, which may focus on texture and painting WEEDS. There are lots of beautiful plants growing in this late summer warmth. Here are a few of our of our paintings.

























Here is an example of some of our local Fauna, which may appeal to you, for next week. Bring your ideas, masking fluid, tape or other mark making tools to help you achieve the textures, you desire.

Thanks Joe. The next three weeks, will focus on different styles for painting WEEDS. Jan has started her Classes back up and there will be an $5 charge for attendance. You will need, watercolor paints, brushes and other mark making tools to help you achieve the goal. She will be showing different styles, such as Monet and Van Gogh and Charles Larsson. We had 8 Hard Core Painters show up in the heat and brave the elements, to paint different perspectives on WEEDS.

Aug. 19th Plein Air
Jan's Class had 8 painters show, to continue on our journey to become better painters. Just a beautiful day to be out in Nature and soak up it's beauty. I just have a few photos to share, but Susan took several and may put them in there as well.

Aug 26th Jan's Plein Air at Potlatch -

Happy Birthday Delores!!
 
The topic is Foregrounds and Weeds, with special speaker, Linda Woytowich on Foreground, Chinese Style. Jan will also talk about the month of September Classes.

We had 11 Painters in attendance, yesterday! Linda gave and excellent Tutorial on Wild Plants, their structure and how to achieve brush strokes to depict their shapes and forms with different brush techniques. Linda will be hosting Classes, in the future in our area.
Jan finished off her Class on Foregrounds, using large flat brushes. It was very interesting to try out.
We had a Covered Dish Lunch, in honor of Delores Birthday, with lots of delicious foods and Key Lime Pie for desert.

We disgust places to hold classes, for the month of September. Fawn Lake and the Dahlia Farm, Diesen Estates, Whitney Gardens and a couple others. Jan will send out emails to those interested in attending next month.
