I love soft pastels and he really added a lot to his painting with them. I added pastels to finish the face details for my greenman I painted for my brother's birthday.

I kinda wish I hadn't given my set away, because I'm seeing even more uses for pastels. I do have a set of Pastel pencils and am going to try them out on a few, not too good paintings of mine.

I mainly posted this for Delores, because she said she was interested.
