I have to get over my fear of bold strokes of color. His paints went on so dark but quickly seemed to fade and soften. Wonder what kind of paints he used?

Wondered the same, but doesn't ever speak, but you can click on the "Show More" button, just below his name to see when they list materials. If I were to guess, Holbein is the primary Distributor in their region. He has many similar videos, all incredible and worth watching. You can click on their name and it will take you to there Home Youtube page.
