Hello Painters,
I am sending this email to those I think are interested in painting on location. If I am missing someone, please let me know.
The next class will be a return to Fawn Lake. We had a nice time in the Cabana. There is plenty of space for social distancing, and the cabana is nice and shady.
The lesson will be 2 part. The first part is mixing paint. I purchased tubes of Daniel Smith Imperial Purple and Daniel Smith Green Gold to share with everyone.
We are going to practice mixing paint. These colors make beautiful shadows and there are lots of shadows at the cabana.
Second, if you want, bring some unfinished paintings that could benefit from the use of these two colors.

Here are the details and directions for the next class:
Date: Thursday, September 10, 2020
Location: Fawn Lake Cabana, Shelton
Time: 10 am - 3 pm
Driving directions:
If you are traveling south on Hwy 101, take the third Shelton exit, which is for Hwy 3 and Matlock. Go back under the Freeway, and follow the sign to the Cole Raod Park and Ride.
From the Cole Road Park and Ride, turn onto Cole Road. Head 2.1 miles to the Fawn Lake entrance. (You will go over the train tracks - you will pass Shadowood is on the left and right).
The Fawn Lake gate is on the right. Follow directions for entering code #136 at the gate. This will ring Susan's cell phone so that she can open the gate for you remotely.
Once through the gate, take an immediate left on Crescent Drive. Stay on Crescent until you reach the direct opposite side of the lake. Look for a sign for "Cabana. "
A small road down to the right will lead to cabana visitor parking. (It is in direct line with the little bridge, which is hard to see from the road. See attached map.)
The cabana has running water, a bathroom, and picnic tables.
You can call Susan Casey at 360.490.8631 if you have any questions.
