Jan's Plein Air Class at Lake Kokanee July 30, 10 to 3Hello Painters, Bruce has found a new spot for us to paint. This Thursday, July 30, we will paint at Lake Kokanee, which is a small lake in the southern part of the Lake Cushman community. The location has a very large gazebo, which can hold many people at a social distance, and other great spots to paint from. There is a cost of $15 to park at this location, unless you have a Lake Cushman sticker. Bruce has a parking sticker and so do I. He and I will be shuttling painters, who do not have one. Because the owner of the print shop has not been well lately, there will be no handouts. So no lesson, and no charge for the class. Instead, it will be more of a get-together. Let me know if you would like to join the class, so that we can arrange the shuttle. Times will be the same 10-3. LUNCH will be available at Nina’s restaurant, but due to the shuttling problem, I plan to bring a sack lunch. NOTE: THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION. (There may be spotty cell service, but I do not know which provider.) FINAL NOTE: The librarian brought all of the remaining paintings to the distillery. I have paintings for Delores, Candy, Bruce, and Susan. IMG_0188.jpeg Jan The Hardware Distillery Co. jan@hardwaredistillery.com PO Box 129, Hoodsport, WA 98548 206 300-0877

I'm very fortunate to have this in my back yard. Here are the directions for tomorrows Plein Air. Hi All,
I am sending directions to Lake Kokanee.
In Hoodsport, at the Hamburger stand, take Hwy 119, also known as Lake Cushman Road, up the hill.
At 2.6 miles and 5 minutes, you will pass Nina’s Lake Cushman restaurant and the Real Estate Office.
Just past the Real Estate Office is a small store.
Look to your left and you will see a sign that says N Potlatch Cushman Rd, and just below it is an arrow on a sign that says N Lower Lake Rd.
Take that road, and you will see some space along the side of the road for parking. That is where we will meet for the shuttle.
From there it is 1.2 miles and 3 minutes to the painting location. A Lake Cushman parking permit is required at the painting location.
Susan Casey is planning to buy a parking permit from the Lake Cushman Maintenance Co office which opens at 10 am. If you want to know how she did it, let me know.
I am meeting Delores at 9:30 at the distillery to give her paintings from the library. We are traveling directly to the meeting place for the shuttle. If you would prefer to meet us there, let me know.
It is supposed to be very hot. Swimming is available in Lake Kokanee, and it might be a good way to cool down.
Hope you can join us,

Hi Jan,
This looks like a wonderful place. I plan on being there. What time do you plan on getting together for carpool? And I will pick up my library artwork. Thanks for getting it for us.
Delores
