Todays Watercolor Class for Plein Air/ Water Lillies Jan's Class had a great turn out of about 10 Artists. Most of us showed up between 9:30 and ten, this morning and Jan passed around an Agenda, showing a few different ways to capture Negative shapes. There were lots of critters there, like a Beaver, Garden Snake, Red winged Blackbirds, Swallows, Dragonflies and many more. Most of us did landscapes of the Pond and thousands of Lilly Pads with bright yellow blossoms. We broke for lunch around Noon and most of us had fare inside the Eagle Creek Saloon, with their famous Burgers and the like. Karen even made and brought a delicious Chocolate Cake. We had to be careful, not to fall off our chairs, whilst taking a nap afterwards. Everyone survived and no mishaps. A brief showing and critiquing later by Jan. Then we packed up for the ride back to our home. Beautiful paintings by all and a great experience. We may do it again later. Here are some photos taken before everyone started their painting. There will be more later, shared by others of their works. A special thanks to Jan Morris for making this possible.
