The thought had crossed my mind, but my fingers couldn't grasp the flask safely.

I'll have to check that out. That would take a lot of alcohol to fill one of those!

Ahhhhhhhh, 7.8 ounces. That could make a complete class assignment! Oh wait. That's the weight. 3 Liters!! Could always walk or crawl home, depending if I took the short cut. Doing some figuring here. Better stay with the flask and straw. Less weight.

LOL!!! For less potent drinks, juice, water, ice tea, etc... on a long bike ride it is mighty handy!!!

Yessssss, we're talking painting here. I guess, if we hiked here, it might be nice to have 3 liters of Screw Drivers, once we arrived.

Which brings me back to the original intent, can't you use a light rubbing alcohol instead of water to keep the paint from freezing... it would evaporate and leave the paint wouldn't it?

Depends. 70% would probably be less aggressive than 91%. It does add a bit of dispersion on the surface and can effect how the paint is absorbed into the paper. I'll try and find a technique, which uses alcohol as a carrier. I've seen it used on Yupo ( Plastic ) paper, but not on cotton. Thanks. I needed an assignment.

Thanks Bruce, I was just wondering if it would actually work or not... don't waste your paper and supplies if it doesn't look like it will work!

Not to worry. I was planning to try it with Aquavit or Whiskey.

The videos explain the different textures, better than I could. I'm looking forward to trying the techniques.
