Hello everyone,
I am sending this email to you because you expressed an interest, or I think you might be interested in, attending class this Thursday, October 1.
(Previously, I had told some of you where I thought the location would be. Please ignore anything I told you, as I was mixed-up.)
1. Nancy Gannon has obtained permission for us to paint at the Diesen estate which consists of an old hotel/boarding house and acreage that is just north of the Hama Hama Oyster Co. In fact, we could see it when we painted from the beach at Hama Hama.
2. In addition to the old building, there are beautiful old apple trees and views of the estuary.
3. There are no toilets at the Estate. However, portable toilets are available at the Eldon store, which is just north of the Diesen estate.
4. According to their website, Hama Hama is closed on Thursdays. So, please bring a sack lunch. In case water is not available, please bring some with you.
5. We will start at 10 am, and paint until 3 pm, or as long as you would like. I am working on a lesson and the cost of the all day class will be $20. If you cannot afford it, there will be no cost.
6. Here are the directions and the map that Nancy drew for us:
For those of you coming from the south, go past Hama Hama Oyster Co, and over the two bridges. The driveway to the Diesen house is the first driveway on the right side immediately after the second bridge.
For those coming from the north, the driveway is on the left, and is just before the bridges, once you drive all the way down the hill and the bridges are visible.
We can park in the mowed field just inside the gate, which will be opened for us.
Also, when leaving the Diesen driveway, only turn right and go on up to the Eldon Store to turn around if you want to go south. The Diesen driveway is on a blind corner and it is unsafe to head south from the driveway.

Please call me if you have any questions. Please let me know if you can join us.
Hope to see you there. The weather should be beautiful!
